Over a period of time, we will be expanding this particular page and include interesting statistics in relation to our parish and the Archdiocese. For a start, the 2001 Catholic census (reproduced from the 2003 Catholic Directory and Ordo of Singapore, Malaysia & Brunei) is listed herebelow.

.... the first baptismal service in our Church took place on the 3rd of August, 1963 ? Freeda d/o Mr. & Mrs. Santhiago was baptised by the late Rev. Fr. Swaminathan.

.... the first wedding service was a 'double' - Mr. T. Aloysius Pereira & Ms. Janet Gomez were joined in Holy Matrimony at the same time as Mr. Christopher Gomez & Ms. Teresa Pereira. The service was officiated by the late Rev. Fr. Swaminathan.

.... the first Catechism teachers in our Church were Mr. L.A. Fernandez (in English) and the late Mr. J.M.S. Nathan (in Tamil).

.... the very first organist we had was the late Mr. Lawrence Manikam.

.... the first commentators at Mass were Mr. L.A. Fernandez (in English) and Mr. Ignatius (in Tamil).

.... the first Sacredotal Ordination to the Priesthood was in December 1968, when the late Rev. Fr. S. Benedict was ordained by His Grace Tan Sri Dominic Vendargon (then Bishop of Kuala Lumpur).
